New information on the tragic suicide of reality star Russell Armstrong continues to emerge. A rep for Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Taylor Armstrong has confirmed that Taylor was involved in finding Russell’s body after his death.
A rep for Taylor confirmed to Access Hollywood that the star was on hand when the body of her estranged husband was found after his suicide.
The coroner revealed the 47-year-old investment banker’s autopsy results today, confirming the official cause of death “was suicide by hanging.”
Toxicology tests were conducted and will take six to eight weeks for results.
Russell was found dead Monday, in a bedroom at a home on L.A.’s Mulholland Drive, which is believed to belong to one of his close friends.
Authorities did not find a suicide note.
“Taylor Armstrong is devastated by the tragic events that have unfolded,” Taylor’s rep told OK! on behalf of the reality star. “She requests privacy at this time so that she may comfort her young daughter.”
Her rep adds, “Her thoughts and prayers are also with Russell’s 11- and 13-year-old sons from previous relationships.”
