Who’s the fairest of them all? That would be Taylor Swift and Miranda Lambert! Winning the Entertainer of the Year Award last night at the Academy of Country Music Awards, Taylor looked downright thrilled. Country crooner Miranda made her mark as well, snagging the Top Female Vocalist, Single of the Year and Video of the Year awards for “The House That Built Me.”
As Taylor accepted the coveted trophy, as noted by PopEater she proclaimed, “This is the first time I’ve ever won this, and I’m losing my mind! The fact that this was from the fans is so beautiful. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me.” Awww.
Later on in the show Taylor performed “Mean” and begain by singing on a porch backdrop which later morphed into a skyline background which married the lyrics: “Someday I’ll be living in a big old city/And all you’re ever gonna be is mean.”
And how about Miranda who made a splash with her trophies? As she accepted her vocalist award she fought back tears and explained, “I feel so blessed and so humbled. I thank God for giving me the blessing of living my dreams. I love country music fans!”
