MTV’s reality project Teen Mom has swept the nation, documenting the struggles of young girls with babies and bringing awareness to teen pregnancy. While the group of gals featured in the series do share a common bond in having children at a very young age, that doesn’t mean that they have to get along. New reports reveal that Teen Mom star Amber Portwood isn’t so pleased with Teen Mom 2’s Jenelle Evans and her “embarrassing” behavior.
“I pretty much despise what she stands for!” Amber recently told E! Online of mom Jenelle’s irresponsible ways, shown on the MTV series.
While Amber has been struggling with her own share of legal woes, including a custody battle and even domestic violence accusations from baby-daddy Gary Shirley, the Indiana native thinks Jenelle, going through similar circumstances, isn’t handling her role as a parent well.
“She’s an idiot and I don’t care if people know or not. I literally have worked my ass off because of this whole battery thing to make sure I keep my daughter [Leah],” Amber explained of Jenelle neglecting to take her custody battle with mother Barbara over her son seriously, in her opinion.
Jenelle’s mother has custody of baby Jace until the 19-year-old can get her life on track, but as of late, she is in the midst of a legal battle with charges of marijuana possession and breaking and entering against her, according to E! Online.
While the show has documented Jenelle attempting to go back to school and get a job, she is more often than not seen out with friends or going on road trips, spurring Amber to react.
“They [MTV] shouldn’t put her on, it’s embarrassing!” Amber said of thinking that Jenelle is not setting a good example.
The struggling young mom has a court date set for April 14 over the possession charges from last October.
Teen Mom 2 airs Tuesday nights on MTV, also featuring young parents Leah Messer, Kailyn Lowry, and Chelsea Houska.
