8:00 p.m.: And we’re off! Seth looking quite dapper, jumping right into the monologue.
8:02 p.m.: “Jokes are like nominees, they can’t all be winners” Well, we’re hoping for a large amount of winners tonight! Tina and Amy are present, right?
8:09 p.m.: Even Amy Poehler wants to be introduced as Beyonce!
8:10 p.m.: And the Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy goes to Ty Burrell from Modern Family!
8:16 p.m.: Ooh two of our dream BFFs presenting now, Zooey D and Allison Williams!
8:17 p.m.: The Emmy for Comedy Series Writing goes to Louis C.K.—as Zooey announces it with a squeal. Did Louis get one of those free gift bag spray tans Ricky Gervais was talking about on the red carpet?
8:18 p.m.: Jimmy Kimmel says Matthew McConaughey is looking much fatter since the Oscars this year. Hilar!
8:20 p.m.: The Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series Emmy goes to…Allison Janney for Mom!
8: 25 p.m.: A little sneak peek of Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Bryan Cranston backstage. Wonder what they have up their sleeves…
8:27 p.m.: Hayden and her sparkly baby bump!
8:30 p.m.: And the Emmy for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series goes to Gail Mancuso for Modern Family who totally jogged to the stage—impressive!
8:33 p.m.: Oh hi Billy Eichner!
8:36 p.m.: Uh, hey there Bryan Cranston’s mustache?
8:38 p.m.: Bazinga! Jim Parsons takes the Lead Actor in a Comedy Series Emmy!
8:43 p.m.: Julia Louis-Dreyfus has a full-on makeout with Bryan Cranston on her way to accept the Emmy from Jimmy Fallon for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. Every single thing about this moment is fantastic.
8:47 p.m.: The Emmy for Reality Competition Program goes to The Amazing Race, congrats! Wouldn’t it be amazing if presenters John Mulaney and Mindy Kaling went on that show as a team?
8:56 p.m.: Questions from the audience—Jon Hamm didn’t know he was on TV, Melissa McCarthy parked illegally, and Andre Braugher needs to use the little boys room. Aka, lets see more of the famous people in the audience!
8:58 p.m.: No Benedict Cumberbatch, but writer and producer Steven Moffatt wins for Writing a Miniseries, Movie and Dramatic special for Sherlock.
9:00 p.m.: Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or Movie goes to Kathy Bates who might be the most comfortably dressed person at the Emmys tonight.
9:08 p.m.: Stephen Colbert is doing a weird imaginary friend bit while presenting and it’s… uncomfortable. We want better for you, Stephen!
9:09 p.m.: Huge snub for Matt Bomer and The Normal Heart in the category of Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or Movie! Big bummer. Martin Freeman won for Sherlock: His Last Vow.
9:14 p.m.: Amy Poehler should be here more. And everywhere. She should host your Tuesday work day.
9:20 p.m.: Benedict Cumbarbatch wins for Sherlock! Nerds everywhere, rejoice.
9:26 p.m.: Jessica Lange wins yet.. another.. Emmy for Lead Actress for American Horror Story. Duh, you know?
9:29 p.m.: Weird Al is here to perform! This should liven things up.
9:33 p.m.: Cersei Lannister is here! Or Lena Headey, whatev. She presents to Fargo for Best Miniseries or Movie.
9:41 p.m.: The Normal Heart wins Best Miniseries or Movie! Ryan Murphy brings the playwright Larry Kramer up on stage.
9:47 p.m.: Sarah Silverman wins for her comedy special, and thanks her Jews at CAA. Never change, S.
9:57 p.m.: Jimmy Fallon didn’t win for Best Variety Show, but he at least got to help Stephen Colbert along for his acceptance speech!
10:05 p.m.: We knew Sofia Vergara looked statuesque—so much so that she’s on a revolving platform now looking like a human trophy.
10:06 p.m.: Now we’re getting into the serious categories. The Emmy for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series goes to AARON PAUL! The last time Jesse Pinkman can win for Breaking Bad, so that deserves a big yeah bitch!
10:11 p.m.: Sara Bareilles singing us through the In Memorium segment of the night.
10:15 p.m.: Ending with the tribute to Robin Williams from his friend Billy Crystal. We’ve got our box of tissues ready.
10:25 p.m.: The Drama Series Directing Emmy goes to True Detective, congrats!
10:27 p.m.: Supporting Actress in a Drama Series goes to Anna Gunn for the 2nd year in a row for Breaking Bad! You go, Skyler White!
10:35 p.m.: The Emmy for Drama Series Writing goes to Breaking Bad! The show sure is cleaning up on their last run at the Emmys.
10:38 p.m.: Oooh this is a biggie: Lead Actress in a Drama Series goes to Juliana Margulies for The Good Wife, go girl!
10: 45 p.m.: Julia Roberts being all radiant, on stage to announce the nominees for Best Actor in a Drama Series.
10:46 p.m.: Bryan Cranston! He’s basically the prom king tonight
10:50 p.m.: Oh, a little surprise appearance from Jay Leno! But like, is everyone drinking orange juice backstage or what? Very weird tint tonight.
10:50 p.m.: Best Comedy Series goes to Modern Family and not one person is shocked. Not one.
10:56 p.m.: Whoa. Why haven’t we been talking about his Halle Berry dress all night? It is nothing short of gorge.
10:57 p.m.: Best Drama Series is Breaking Bad, wow!
11:00 p.m.: And that’s a wrap on the Emmys, thanks for hanging with us all night!
