Always keeping us on our toes, the Oscars just had a TIE! Both Zero Dark Thirty and Skyfall won in the category of Sound Editing. And both male recipients that got up to accept had long hair! But it doesn’t end there.
This is actually the THIRD time in Oscar history that a tie has happened. The last time was in 1969 when there was a tie in the Best Actress category. Barbara Streisand won for Funny Girl and Katherine Hepburn won for The Lion In Winter.
Before that, it happened in 1932—the 5th ever Academy Awards, in the Best Actor category. Fredric March from Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde shared the award with Wallace Beery for his performance in The Champ. Fun facts!
Could you imagine if it happened again tonight?
