Tom Hanks Pays Tribute to Michael Clarke Duncan

At Michael Clarke Duncan's memorial service on Monday, Tom Hanks paid tribute to his allen friend.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Tom lightened the mood with his speech which included a tale Michael mentioned on set of The Green Mile. As a teenager, the late star wanted to join a gang. Tom said, "Big Mike decided to join a gang...and he said and then they beat the crap out of you for 20 minutes and that's how you get into the gang.

After joining the gang, he got a red dye of patch on his head. Well, he wanted his mom see the new red patch and let's just say when she did, it was game over. She told him to cut "that thing" out of his hair!

He simply had to return to the gang to tell them, "My mama says I can't be in your gang." You can guess what happened next as Tom recalled the conversation with Michael: "They beat the crap out of me a second time."
