Trish Keenan Dies From Pneumonia: A Look Back in Broadcast Videos

Trish Keenan, the singer of the English electronic group Broadcast, has died Friday morning due to complications of pneumonia. She was 42.

According to a statement released by Warp Records, Trish was battling pneumonia and in intensive care for the past two weeks.

"Our thoughts go out to James, Martin, her friends and her family and we request that the public respect their wishes for privacy at this time," the statement reads.

"This is an untimely tragic loss and we will miss Trish dearly - a unique voice, an extraordinary talent and a beautiful human being. Rest in Peace."

Broadcast formed in 1995 with the original group of Trish, guitarist Tim Felton, bassist James Cargill and keyboardist Roj Stevens, Billboard reports. They released four albums on Warp Records.

Most recently, the band released a collaboration with the Focus Group in 2009 and performed last May at the Matt Groening-curated All Tomorrow's Parties festival.
