Two and a Half Men is not the only Chuck Lorre creation being postponed. The producer also announced that he would be "taking a break" from the humorous vanity cards he displays at the end of each of his hit sitcoms, an announcement arriving amid the current Charlie Sheen pandemonium.

On Monday, Chuck released the following statement, via Entertainment Weekly, after an episode of Mike & Molly explaining he would  “take a break for a few weeks” from writing his post-episode cards, but he would still “display a photograph of a part of my body that is entirely innocuous. No longer will I share some troublesome piece of my mind. Now I will share an actual piece of Chuck that is incapable of offending anyone,” he said, showing a picture of his elbow.

Chuck followed through with his announcement last night after the Bing Bang Theory, posting the following message and a picture of his knuckle.

It was more fun writing these things when I was fairly certain no one was reading them. That is no longer the case. These days it seems like every vanity card is getting scrutinized and criticized by network executives, corporate legal departments and publicity departments, TV journalists and tabloid bloggers. Believe it or not, my musings have been both cheered and jeered by TV Guide! But lately it's gotten out of hand. Which is why I've decided to take a break for a few weeks. Let things cool off a little. Instead of writing short essays that upset people, I've decided to use my one second of network TV to do something simple and hassle-free. Starting with this card, I'm going to display a photograph of a part of my body that is entirely innocuous. No longer will I share some troublesome piece of my mind. Now I will share an actual piece of Chuck that is incapable of offending anyone. You know, a foot, a hand, or maybe a toe. So with that in mind, behold...

Last week, Chuck took a jab at Charlie after Two and a Half Men with a post-episode vanity card that attacks his very public, outrageous lifestyle.

I exercise regularly. I eat moderate amounts of healthy food. I make sure to get plenty of rest. I see my doctor once a year and my dentist twice a year. I floss every night. I've had chest x–rays, cardio stress tests, EKG's and colonoscopies. I see a psychologist and have a variety of hobbies to reduce stress. I don't drink. I don't smoke. I don't do drugs. I don't have crazy, reckless sex with strangers.

If Charlie Sheen outlives me, I'm gonna be really pissed.

At the time, Charlie took Chuck's jab as a compliment.

“This is a giant compliment," he said recently in one of his on-air interviews with The Dan Patrick Show. "Chuck offered an olive branch, this is how I interpreted it. He’s going through all this stuff about what he does. This is about him personally. It doesn’t get to me, it’s not about me until the end. It’s a reflection of how he feels, in comparison to how my insane my life appears at times. So, I took it as a huge compliment. He basically wrote a brilliant little piece of literature and called me Superman…We are fine!”

But since then, Charlie, who is not happy that he was not immediately welcomed back to the set of Two and a Half Men after claiming to be sober, has slammed Chuck, calling him a "turd" "maggot" and attacking him for how he has handled the situation, also calling him Haim Levine, an anti-semitic slur.

So after all of this has Two and a Half Men being canceled? No, just halted for now.

CBS released in a statement: “Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen’s statements, conduct and condition, CBS and Warner Bros. Television have decided to discontinue production of ‘Two and a Half Men’ for the remainder of the season.”

Charlie now claims he will take his show to HBO, who has not commented at this time.
