There were so many amazing moments, from Barney holding his baby for the first time, to the revelation that Lily was pregnant, to the discovery that the Mother was pregnant (okay, a lot of babies!). There was a lot of sadness, from Robin and Barney's divorce to Robin drifting away from the group, to the weepy realization that the Mother is dead.

So, also, that: The Mother is dead. Whew. All those conspiracy theories were totally right, as was the theory that the whole series was an explanation of why Ted had to get back together with Robin. It was lovely to see the pre-taped segments of the two Mosby kids demanding their father just give Aunt Robin a call already, and make a move. It was ordained from the pilot! Pretty genius stuff.
