Zooey Deschanel & Ben Gibbard Split After Two Years of Marriage

New Girl star Zooey Deschanel is becoming a single girl as well.

The actress and her Death Cab for Cutie husband Ben Gibbard announced on Tuesday they have separated, Radar Online reports.

Zooey, 31, and Ben, 35, became engaged in December 2008 and married in September 2009. 

It looks likey Zooey isn't letting the split bring her down as she happily Tweeted about the return of New Girl on Fox last night.

"Tonight on #newgirl : jess accidentally catches a glimpse of a naked nick, @lakebell guest stars!" Zooey Tweeted.
