There was probably never a neighborhood house that gave out gourmet, gluten-free macaroons, but the quality option would have been appreciated, considering most of us always got stuck with an apple or a measly bag of pretzels in our trick or treat stash. If you did get that sweet tooth luxury, know that we’re kind of jealous, and also keep in mind that a candy corn-flavored version is now a reality.
Dana’s Bakery, a gluten-free macaroon service, just tackled the seasonal flavor and made it even more appealing to those who love French food but can’t deny Halloween’s dessert history. Just like the candies (which, let’s be real, are addicting!) the macaroons are colored in orange, yellow, and white. The inside consists of a creamy, candy corn-flavored buttercream with a piece on the candy inside, too.
