Welcome to New Tunes Tues, where we tell you what newly released songs/albums/music videos etc require your attention immediately. This week’s picks happen to be ’90s themed, with a Clueless-inspired music video, a Jennifer Lopez/Ricky Martin reunion, and an appearance from Sporty Spice in Little Mix‘s new music video! It’s all here:
Pharrell ft. Miley Cyrus, “Come Get It Bae.” With the number one song and the number one album on iTunes right now, we bet Pharrell isn’t sad that he didn’t win an Oscar for Best Song in a Motion Picture on Sunday! This track is one of three collaborations on his new album, “G I R L,” featuring the one and only Miley Cyrus:
Wisin ft. Jennifer Lopez and Ricky Martin, “Adrenalina.” Please forgive the fact that this entire song is in Spanish and thus you do not understand a word they’re saying. The Puerto Rican rapper (who might as well be Pitbull?) got Jennifer Lopez and Ricky Martin to star in his music video—and make out in it! Casper Smart, look away…
Iggy Azalea ft. Charli XCX, “Fancy.” Even if EDM isn’t your thing, this video is going to be if you’re a ’90s kid! Iggy and Charli somehow pack almost the entire movie Clueless into a 3.2 minute music video, channeling some of the film’s best outfits and moments—including Cher’s to-die-for rotating closet! Which moment here is your fave?
Little Mix, “Word Up.” Little Mix’s new single for charity, called “Word Up,” is good on its own, but it just get ten times better with this music video, featuring cameos from a few British celebritites including Melanie Chisolm from the Spice Girls doing her signature peace signs and karate kicks at the end! Girl powah to the max:
Coldplay, “Magic.” This week, Coldplay announced that they’ll be releasing their sixth album in May, featuring “Magic” as its lead single. The track has got some John Mayer tints and should be titled “Sexy” instead. Just sayin’…
