Welcome to New Tunes Tues, where we tell you what newly released songs/albums/music videos etc require your attention immediately. This week, Selena Gomez resurfaces with a hot new sound, a “Hangover” now officially has a theme song and more! Listen on:
Selena Gomez, “Hold On.” Selena Gomez has clearly been switching things up lately, especially musically. Her new song, in which she croons with indie singer Ben Kweller, is slow, sad, and certainly not the Selena stuff we’re used to. Listen to the cut, off the soundtrack of her upcoming film, Rudderless, right here, if you need to let out a good cry sesh:
Psy and Snoop Dogg, “Hangover.” “Gangnam Style” mastermind Psy’s latest song isn’t exactly lyrical genius—it’s about getting hungover, for crying out loud—but what was genius was getting Snoop Dogg on the song and in the music video. The video is pretty freakin’ weird, but 25 million people have watched it already so don’t be left out:
Nicole Scherzinger, “Your Love.” You can’t go wrong with a music video in which you just frolic along a beach, you know? Nicole’s clearly got summer on the mind with this new song/video that’ll once again get you asking yourself, “Don’t you wish your girlfriend was hot like Nicole Scherzinger?”
Colbie Caillat, “Try.” Surprise! Colbie Caillat has a new song and it is SO empowering. The song and its accompanying lyric video is all about not trying to be someone you’re not, and features dozens of women’s make-up free selfies in the background. Oh, and some of the women featured are famous faces like Kelly Osbourne, Miranda Lambert, Sheryl Crowe and more! Watch it here and see how many celebs you can spot:
Nicki Minaj, “Pills N’ Potions.” We got the tease of the audio and TWO lyric videos for Minajesty’s new single, “Pills n’ Potions.” But alas, the video arrived and boy is it hot. And kinda trippy. And yes, that is a bunny rabbit smoking a cigarette that you see in there:
