Don't like comic books? Have no idea what the X-Men are? It doesn't really matter. That's probably the best part about The Wolverine, which just came out today and features Hugh Jackman playing his famous character for the sixth (!!!) time on-screen. But read on for OK! or OMG?! review to see what I thought of the film overall and what you'll get from seeing the movie that you didn't get from just watching the trailer. Leggo!

OK! Exclusive: The Wolverine's Rila Fukushima on Seeing Hugh Jackman's Abs in Real Life

Firstly, there's the plot. You should know going into this movie that Logan aka Wolverine gets a whole lot more personal in this flick, as we learn more about his personal life (and the ladies in his life) than we have in the past. And also, unlike other films in the franchise, this one takes place entirely in Japan, as that's where Logan is summoned to go to say goodbye to an old friend.

And because it takes place in Japan, it's going to make you wanna hop on a plan to Asia ASAP. The movie really makes the country look gorgeous and as I learned while attending the press conference for the film, the Japanese actors in it think the director did a great job of portraying the country accurately. The city of Toyko reminded me of Times Square in NYC, and I want to go there.

The Wolverine

And speaking of Tokyo, most of the film's supporting characters are actually Japanese, so that made the whole thing feel more authentic. My faves are Tao Okamoto, a model who plays Mariko, the protagonist of the film and the lucky lady who has love scenes with Logan, and Rila Fukushima, also a model who plays Yukio, Logan's bodyguard. Both girls are gorgeous and kick-ass and it's awesome.

The Wolverine

But of course, this movie wouldn't be about Wolverine without a little eye candy. Hugh's his usual jacked up self in the film and there are plenty of scenes (including one scene where he bathes, ladies) where he is sans shirt or wearing just a wife-beater. So basically what I'm saying is that it's so worth the $13 movie ticket.

THE WOLVERINE

And as I mentioned before, even if you're not familiar with the comic book characters and even if you haven't seen any of the other films with Wolverine in it, you won't be confused. But if you are a fan of all the other movies and the comics? You'll like it too, obviously.

The Wolverine

OK! or OMG!?: Listen, I'm not typically a Marvel fan. Rom-coms are more my speed (don't hate me). But I for sure enjoyed this movie and I think that fans of the franchise will too. But this movie is OMG because it's got more for the ladies than you'd expect—romance, pretty scenery, and pretty people. Hugh is hot.
