Oh, that Kanye West. He certainly keeps things interesting, doesn't he? This week, he's got eyes popping over a very specific fashion choice. He's been using the Confederate flag on his Yeezus tour, and as of this weekend, on his casual Saturday clothes.

OK! News: Kanye West claims Kim Kardashian has a greater influence on fashion than Michelle Obama.

Kanye obviously takes fashion very seriously. He hit Paris Fashion Week in October with Kim on his arm, had Maison Martin Margiela design all the clothes for his tour, and has a clothing line of his very own. But he's intrigued people recently by selling merchandise on his Yeezus tour with the Confederate flag on it, and then just wore a jacket with a Confederate flag patch on it.

While the flag has negative connotations in American history in its symbolism of racism and slavery, it turns out that's precisely why Kanye likes wearing it. Appearing on a radio show in LA last week, he said, "React how you want. Any energy is good energy." Pretty standard Kanye stuff, but he went on: "You know the Confederate flag represented slavery in a way. That's my abstract take on what I know about it. So I made the song 'New Slaves;' so I took the Confederate flag and made it my flag. It's my flag. Now what are you going to do?" What, indeed? Well, you can start by voting:
