Elizabeth Taylor was an inspiration to Kristin Davis' character, Charlotte, on Sex and The City. Not only did Charlotte name her dog after Elizabeth, but she also tried to live her life with as much strength as Elizabeth had. Elizabeth has died at the age of 79, but leaves behind a legacy of films along with her humanitarian and philanthropic work. Her son, Michael Wilding, said in a statement, ”My Mother was an extraordinary woman who lived life to the fullest, with great passion, humor, and love.”

The legendary actresses' life played a key role into the type of character Charlotte was on SATC in a very lovable way.

When Charlotte was given the "most beautiful" dog in the world she immediately knew it had to be named Elizabeth Taylor.

From then on the dog was quite the princess in her life even if she caused Charlotte some obstacles to overcome — getting her "period" during a dog show and getting pregnant before her!

And when Charlotte found out she had miscarried, she looked to the actress to help her stand tall and put on a brave face.

"Now is the time for guts and guile," Elizabeth says in a "E! True Hollywood Story" Charlotte watches on the show. And that's all Charlotte needed to put on a gorgeous pink dress, pull back her hair and put on some dark sunglasses and look fabulous again!
