A few days ago, Sacha Baron Cohen was banned by the Oscars from attending but now that we're right on the cusp of one of Hollywood's biggest nights, it looks like the show will go with him after all!

OK! NEWS: OSCARS CONTROVERSY STIRS OVER SACHA BARON COHEN & POSSIBLE RED CARPET STUNT In true form, he will attend the Academy Awards decked out in character as Admiral Shabazz Aladeen, the lead in his upcoming movie, The Dictator. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences tried to ban his character from the red carpet and ceremony but they promptly changed their minds yesterday afternoon. According to Zap2it, perhaps one reason for the change of heart is all the buzz he can bring to the Oscars. VIDEO: THE DICTATOR FEATURES SACHA BARON COHEN & A KARDASHIAN JOKE In character, he issued this statement: "VICTORY IS OURS! Today the Mighty Nation of Wadiya triumphed over the Zionist snakes of Hollywood. Evil and those who made Satan their protector were vanquished and driven into the Pacific Sea. What I am trying to say here is that the Academy have surrendered and sent over two tickets and a parking pass! TODAY OSCAR, TOMORROW OBAMA!" Sounds like producers of tomorrow night's show did a complete 180 because they told Access Hollywood not only is the comedian permitted to the Oscars, he's going to take the stage at one point! Brian Grazer said, "We absolutely respect him as an artist and he's allowed to come. He's coming. In fact, he's even part of the, there's a piece - he's part of the show...as himself."
