Although late night studios were pretty empty last night in NYC for David Letterman and Jimmy Fallon, it was business as usual for the west coast late night host, Jay Leno.

Last night X Factor judges Simon Cowell and Britney Spears appeared to promote their live broadcasts which begin tomorrow night!

During the interview, it turns out Britney pretty much struggled whenever she heard boos at first from the crowd on the hit reality show.

Simon described,  There was this look to me like, ‘What have I signed up for here?’ After two hours, we had a conversation and it was like, ‘I’m not sure I should be doing this. They all hate me. They’re booing me.’"

He added, " And I said, ‘You’re doing a brilliant job. Get used to it.’”

As for the boos themselves, considering Britney's been in the biz for over a decade, she's not used to having audiences criticize her. You just like, cringe. You’re just like, ‘oh my god!’”

The role is growing on her and she's getting used to the boos as well as dashing dreams of up and coming stars.

Saying "it is really hard," she made the analogy to becoming a doctor. If "they're wasting seven years of their life doing that -- I would want to know."

Stay tuned to the X Factor tomorrow night with 12 finalists.
