As OK! exclusively reported, Jersey Shore star Vinny Guadagnino has decided he's "had enough" of filming season five of the MTV show, and he left the gang's house in Seaside Heights today. But Vinny's decision was not due to a fight with his castmates. Why did he leave?

"There was no fight, he doesn't really fight with anyone," an insider close to the situation tells OK!. "He had just seen his family and he got really homesick and packed his stuff up to go home. He actually was on his way home when he was intercepted by production, who convinced him to come back for a little bit longer."

And it remains doubtful whether or not Vinny will make it through filming all of season five.

"I don't think he'll make it through the whole season at all. It's too long to be away from his family," the production insider tells OK!. "They didn't tell them they were going to be gone that long. They think bringing their family in is going to be helpful but all it does is make them even more homesick. He's a good kid and really family oriented, so it's really hard for him."

It looks like the rest of the cast — Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Jenni "JWoww" Farley, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, Paul "DJ Pauly D" DelVecchio and, the newest member, Deena Cortese — might not have much more air time with their GTL escapades, as it is.

A second Jersey Shore insider tells OK!: "This will be the last season of Jesery Shore with this cast."

The group of guidos and guidettes is busy filming season five of their reality series back on their summertime home turf in Seaside Heights, N.J.

They shot season four in Florence, Italy, and Vinny seemed excited about the change of scenery.

The fourth season of Jersey Shore premieres Aug. 4 on MTV.
