It’s a good thing Countess LuAnn de Lesseps of the Real Housewives of New York is joining forces with OK! to school them on the right thing to do! In a rough situation, we just ask, “What Would the Countess Do?” This week the Countess discusses helping your family and staying true to yourself.
How could Kyle on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills have handled her sister's alleged alcoholism differently?
It was not a good idea for Kyle to confront her sister Kim about her substance abuse problems while out with other people and while Kim was tipsy. While Kyle’s intentions might have been good, her delivery was not. Kyle should have waited until Kim was sober and alone to share her concerns about Kim’s substance abuse. However, in Kyle’s defense, sometimes you have to stop enabling a family member so that they can hit bottom and begin recovering.
Tip: Make sure when you offer your advice to a loved one; he or she is in a good place to hear it.

Khloéardashian had to re-dye her hair back to brown from red for her reality show and wasn't too happy about it. How do you reconcile your own life and what you want for it while maintaining obligations to a TV show?
Thankfully, the producers of the Real Housewives of New York City have never asked me to change a thing about appearance and they encourage me to be myself. That being said, I do have to show-up for call times, on time, dressed appropriately and I have to be flexible. It’s a balancing act but it’s part of the process.
