The world has been glued to their TVs as Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's defamation and domestic violence trial plays out, which has lead some to believe that the bitter exes are purposely mimicking each other's courtroom attire.
The case kicked off in Virginia on April 11, and since then, social media was quick to notice that their appearances have been weirdly similar. To start, eagle-eyed fans detected that the actress, 37, wore a dark Gucci tie with a bumble bee stitched on it on April 13, two days after the movie star, 58, wore the same piece.
The exes — who began dating in 2012, married three years later, and then filed for divorce in 2016 — are facing off in court after Depp sued Heard due to the op-ed she published, in which she claimed to have been physically abused by the star. She then countersued.
Depp has denied accusations and said she's taken "on the role of a lifetime" with her "lies," though she's stated that his attacks often occurred while he was so high or drunk that he would blackout, so he would never be able to recall the incidents.

On April 12, the actress paired a black top with a gray Gucci suit and put her hair up, and on April 20, Depp was seen wearing a black shirt underneath a gray suit. He also had his shoulder-length locks tied up.
However, other photos show the Pirates of the Caribbean star first wearing a gray suit on April 11, one day before Heard did.

On April 14, Heard wore her locks in a milkmaid braid and wore a black suit and a black top, while five days later, the actor showed up to the courthouse in a dark three-piece suit.
Clad in a black suit, white shirt and colored tie, Heard pulled her blonde locks back into a style that's reminiscent of her ex's mane on April 13. By April 18, Depp stepped out in a black suit, white shirt and printed tie, with his hair also tied up.
