This was Blake’s year: between starring in a Gucci fragrance ad campaign, shooting the final season of Gossip Girl, and getting married to Ryan Reynolds (we’re still waiting on those wedding pics Blake!), she still found time for many a red-carpet best-dressed moment, but this one tops the list! Wearing Zuhair Murad to the LA premiere of her film Savages, Blake brought the Old-Hollywood siren vibe and killed it!
It’s nice to see Taylor in something other than a white or metallic-gold dress! Amen for this super-chic Elie Saab red gown with a lace bodice and flowing skirt. We also have to applaud Tay on the straight strands—overall the look was modern, sexy, and totally appropriate for one of music’s biggest nights of the year.
Every fashion critic may have knocked K-Stew in the past, but her faded skinny jeans, worn-in sweatshirts, and converse kicks were no where to be found on the red carpet while she was promoting Breaking Dawn: Part 2 and On The Road this year. She may have been embracing the near-naked trend a little too much during the promo tour, but hey, at least the parts that were covered were done so in designer lace and sheer paneling, like in the case of her Zuhair Murad number at the LA premiere of BD. It’s nice to see her having fun with fashion and trying a little harder these days!
If only we could all look like Sofia… The Modern Family star stole the show at the 2012 Emmy Awards show in a teal-green, beaded, mermaid-esque Zuhair Murad gown, and despite a wardrobe malfunction (the back of her dress split right before going on stage), she was able to pull it together (and have it sewn up) to accept not only her Emmy, but her win for best dressed of the night!
Damn Katniss! Way to gold for the gold! Then again, if we spent months of our lives working out for a roll and practicing archery 3 to 4 days a week, we’d want to show off our toned arms and physique too!
Rihanna said she was channeling Michelle Pfeiffer in Scarface with her plunging, v-neck black gown at the Grammy Awards this year and we have to say she nailed it! The sexy singer always has us guessing when it comes to her style choices, but this look was one of her best in 2012!
Emma can do no wrong in the eyes of fashion. Who else could pull off a daring, crimson, giant bow-tied halter gown and have everyone falling over themselves with envy? Her Giambattista Valli dress is all-out-glam and we love it!
If anyone knows how to make a fashionably late, major entrance, it’s B. Decked out in a sheer-lace Givenchy gown with a purple and black feather train, Blue Ivy’s mom made her very first post-pregnancy appearance at the Met Costume Gala and established: she was back!
