Remember when Miley Cyrus used to sing bubblegum pop songs on the Disney Channel with Selena Gomez, the Jonas Brothers and her dad, Billy Ray? Ah, the good ol’ days. Click through to see the progression of Miley’s musical duet partners from the JoBros to Justin Bieber to Juicy J and more.
Throughout her run as Hannah Montana starting in 2006, Miley sang tons of duets with her dad, Billy Ray. After all, he did play her dad on the show, too.
When Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers were both major Disney Channel staples circa 2007 and 2008, they sung tons of songs together. The bros even opened up for Miley Cyrus on her "Best of Both Worlds" tour that same year!
Also in '08, Miley voiced a character in the animated film Bolt, for which she recorded a song with her co-star John Travolta called "I Thought I Lost You." Not a shabby gig for a Disney star.
Then, in 2009, Miley, the Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez all lent their vocals to "Make a Wave," the theme song to the network's eco-friendly initiative at the time. This song was also the theme song to most teens' lives that year, just sayin'.
Miley Cyrus also performed with Sheryl Crow during her Hannah Montana days. The ladies song was called "Need a Little Love," but they performed Sheryl's hit, "If It Makes You Happy," together at the 2009 VH1 Divas show.
In 2010, Miley Cyrus sang a scandalous duet with Bret Michaels about a romance gone wrong. Miley was merely 16 at the time so it was a huge deal, but looking back, yeah, "Nothin' To Lose" was so not a biggie.
Now let's jump ahead to 2011, because that's the year that Miley Cyrus sang "Overboard" with Justin Bieber at his first-ever show at Madison Square Garden. The performance also appeared in his 2012 docu-concert film, Never Say Never. Such babies, they were!
And then, suddenly, hip hop happened. In early 2013, Miley released her song with Snoop Lion called "Ashtrays and Heartbreak." It was the first music we'd heard from Miley that wasn't bubblegum pop, so, honestly, it was all kind of shocking for fans to hear.
Then, once Miley started working on her new album, Bangerz, it was revealed that Pharrell Williams would be producing lots of the album's tracks, as would hip hop artist Mike Will.
Oh, and so did will.i.am! Will helped Miley on some of her album's songs, as well as featured her on the chorus of his single, "Fall Down."
Bangerz is full of collaborations, one of which is with Nelly. Their song "4x4" is an album standout.
Miley's album also features "Love, Money, Party," a song about those three things, featuring Big Sean...
As well as "Ain't Worried About Nothin'" with a rap verse from another hip hop artist, French Montana.
And let's not forget the two songs Miley Cyrus collaborated on with Ciara's new fiance, Future.—"My Darlin'" off Bangerz and "Real & True," off the rapper's record.
Then in September 2013, Miley Cyrus hit the hip hop motherload when she was featured on "23" with Mike Will, Wiz Khalifa and Juicy J. Whoa.
Wait, just kidding. Miley had the collaborations of ALL collaborations when she got Britney Spears to lend her vocals to "SMS (Bangerz)." Miley's admitted that she wanted "only one bitch" on her album, and that was Britney, bitch. Amen to that.
Oh wait...then there was this.
