The drama has largely ceased for Jay Z and Beyoncé after their secretive marriage was thrust into the spotlight following Solange Knowles’ elevator attack on her brother-in-law in May. However, it now appears the quietness from the Knowles-Carter camp may be the result of Jay Z’s control over his devoted wife.
They have put up a united front on social media and in public over the last few months, taking a well-documented family trip to Europe and co-headlining their succesful On The Run world tour over the summer. But an insider close to the couple tells OKMagazine.com that Beyoncé has quit questioning her hubby after he convinced her to give their marriage another go.
“It’s very sad, she’s acting like a Stepford Wife now and Jay’s taking full advantage by stamping his authority on the relationship,” the source said. “He figures that if she hasn’t left him now she never will.”
The source added that Jay is even gloating to his buddies that he has complete control over their marriage. “He’s calling all the shots and basically bragging to friends that she’ll never leave the marriage and he’s the boss,” the source said.
Beyoncé’s actions over the last few months have sparked concern among her fans. She’s been questioned for oversharing on social media and her dazed appearance at a Brooklyn Nets basketball game in November left many convinced things still aren’t solid between the couple.
And the source says Bey’s own family and friends are just as worried about the star.
“So many of Bey’s friends and family can’t stand the guy, but he has so much power that everyone’s scared of him,” the source said. “Beyoncé was in such a strong place until she ran back, now she’s under his spell and acting like a zombie.”
