Bringing Up Bates' first season was pretty major, considering we met the Bates' first grandchild and got news that two more of the Bates girls were expecting. But season 2, premiering next month, will put the focus on wedding planning as we follow Michaella Bates and Brandon Keilen throughout their courtship, engagement and wedding process. And OKMagazine.com has exclusive details on the oldest Bates daughter's big day!
We can exclusively reveal that the young couple will tie the knot on Saturday, August 15 in Knoxville, TN at Wallace Memorial Baptist Church. Details on the wedding colors, bridal party and more will be announced leading up to the second season premiere on June 4, but we can tell you now that the newlyweds will move to Chicago after their nuptials.
Michael, which is what her family calls her, and Brandon got engaged on April 13 after almost a year-and-a-half long courtship. His proposal was a scavenger hunt in various locations, which culminated in him dropping down to his knee and asking Michael to marry him at a scenic spot in Great Falls, VA. So romantic!
The couple—who were free to hug once they got engaged!—celebrated their engagement with a family dinner with Michael's parents, Gil and Kelly Jo, as well as Brandon's parents and two sisters, who we will meet on the new season.
Gorgeous ring! Michael is the oldest Bates daughter and the fourth Bates kid to get engaged. Her siblings Zach, Erin and Alyssa are all married with one baby each.
