Chrissy Teigen Reveals Heartbreaking Details From Her IVF Process: 'Emotionally, It Could Be Really Hard'

Chrissy Teigen is known for not holding anything back when it comes to her personal life! The supermodel is currently pregnant with her first child with her husband John Legend and remained quiet about her journey to motherhood, until now.

Chrissy spoke with Self magazine and opened up about her IVF experience. She revealed that she and John struggled to conceive a child naturally and wondered why. “The big question was why this wasn’t working for us when I was young and he was healthy," she said.

The couple decided to try in vitro fertilization which Chrissy said, “Emotionally, it could be really hard.” They didn’t have success right away and had to attempt IVF a couple of times. “You don’t want to get your hopes up, but of course, you do,” she said.

“One of the things that saved us is that we never did that real fertility thing, where you’re looking at the ovulation clock and saying, ‘Honey, get home; we have to do it right now. John would say, ‘Let’s never be that couple that has to schedule sex, where we put it on the calendar and say, OK, this is our night.’ So before we did IVF, even if we went a few days or a week, our feeling was, it’s cool, who cares?,” she explained.

Even though they are expecting their first child together, Chrissy already has more babies on her mind!

She admitted that she hopes to have “four kids with John.”
