When awards weren't being handed out, Brad Pitt and George Clooney were hugging it out. The best friends were showing off their bromance at last night's Critics' Choice Movie Awards 2012.

When George beat out Brad for Best Actor, the actor went out of his way to give Brad a hug first before heading to the stage to accept his award.

These guys are too cute!

Brad told reporters they are competitive with each other explaining, "He’s my buddy.  I always root for him."

Other highlights from the show were, of course, the awards given out to The Artist, The Help, Bridesmaids and both Martin Scorcese and Sean Penn's honors.

Michel Hazanavicius won Best Director for The Artist and the film won Best Picture overall.

Bridesmaids won Best Comedy and The Help won Best Ensemble. But highlight speeches from the evening were Viola Davis' for her Best Actress award and Octavia Spencer for her Best Supporting Actress award for The Help.

Did anyone else cry just a little bit?
