David Beckham looked dashing as always kicking around soccer balls with his L.A. Galaxy teammates this afternoon.
A proud Londoner, Becks tried (and didn't make) the British 18-man soccer team selected by Stuart Pearce this June.
"Naturally I am very disappointed," he said. "I would have been honored to have been part of this unique Team GB squad."
Alas, he soldiers on and has traveled back to the city several times to root on his country.
The married father of four covers the September issue of Esquire and told the magazine about his hopeful athletic legacy.
"I want to be remembered firstly as a good and successful footballer because that’s what I’ve done for many years," he said. "And then who knows after that?"
