Miss “emotional intelligence” got a ring on it! Former Bachelor star and Corinne Olympios frenemy, Taylor Nolan, said “yes,” to her Bachelor In Paradise co-star, Derek Peth on the show’s season finale Monday night. While news of the couple’s engagement spilled before the episode aired, Derek’s proposal was so sweet (and so perfect, and so iconic) OK! had to break down his loving speech line by line.
“Taylor, you are so intelligent, emotionally and intellectually, you have such a big heart and you're absolutely stunningly beautiful. Is she not beautiful?” Derick asked the audience before turning to face his future bride.
“Taylor, I love you — I'm so nervous right now. You're not searching for someone who completes you, but who complements you. And I think we literally and figuratively do that,” he said.
“Early in our relationship, I literally built a fire for you even though you're a strong independent woman who doesn't need a man,” he joked. “And figuratively because you've since lit a fire in my heart. I choose to love you this minute, this hour, this day, and every day from here on out. So, Taylor Catherine Nolan, you make me the happiest man on this planet. Will you marry me?,” he asked as he pulled out a HUGE Neil Lane engagement ring.

And then, through a stream of tears, Taylor quickly shook her head yes.
And before either of the two even had time to relish in the moment, the entire BIP cast was on stage congratulating the happy couple. (What a perfect ending to a drama-filled season in Paradise!)
