George Clooney looks handsome even in handcuffs. The 50-year-old actor was arrested today outside the Sudanese Embassy in Washington, D.C., for civil disobedience.

George was on a mission to protest the country's blockage of food and treatment of its people and spread his message.

Well, consider the message spread as George being arrested certainly made headlines today.

His father, Nick Clooney, 78, was also arrested with his son and they reflected on the experience to reports upon their release.

"It is on my permanent record," George joked. "It was really rough, you can imagine… Paid a fine, we were all in a cell together, it was nice."

But seriously, "Listen, what we've been trying to achieve today is we're trying to bring attention to an ongoing emergency. Our job right now is to try to bring attention to it, and one of those ways was, apparently, get arrested."
