Golden Globe nominees look even better when they're holding their trophies and being smiley big after a win! During the show and backstage, stars happily posed for cameras after giving their acceptance speeches.
The Help didn't win as many awards as expected, but Octavia Spencer's win for Best Supporting Actress was well-deserved and she was proud to show it off.
"This is seriously nuts," Octavia said when she accepted her award. "Thank you to the Hollywood Foreign Press, seriously. You know, with regard to domestics in this country now and then, I think Dr. King said it best, 'All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance,' and I thank you for recognizing that with our film."
Kate Winslet won Best Performance by an Actress in a Mini-series or Motion-Picture Made for Television.
"Thank you. Oh, thank you very much," Kate said on stage. "I want to thank the Hollywood Foreign Press for giving this award to me and for putting me in a category with such incredible heavyweight actresses, whom I feel honest toward to stand alongside."
But it was Michelle Williams who may have gave the most emotional speech of the night.
"Oh, dear. Gosh, you know, I consider myself a mother first and an actress second. And so the person that I most want to thank is my daughter, my little girl, whose bravery and exuberance is the example that I take with me in my work and in my life," Michelle explained. "I want to say thank you for sending me off to this job every day with a hug and a kiss — I couldn’t have done it otherwise — and making me so excited to come home at night and for suffering through six months of bedtime stories where all the princesses were read aloud in a Marilyn Monroe‒sounding voice."
