Taylor calls it quits, singing, “I’m really gonna miss you picking fights, and me, falling for it screaming that I’m right, and you, would hide away and find your peace of mind, with your indie record that’s much cooler than mine.” Here, Tay performs the song at the MTV VMAs.
Oh, our fave ballad. Taylor croons, “Your guard is up and I know why, because the last time you saw me is still burned in the back of your mind / You gave me roses and I left them there to die.” An ethereal-looking Taylor performs the song at the 44th Annual Country Music Awards back in 2010.
Admittedly, part of this song’s “it” factor was it’s drama factor. Swifty sings softly, “You’ll add my name to your list of traitors who don’t understand / And I’ll look back and regret how I ignored when they said, Run as fast as you can.” Here, she performs in NYC during the Speak Now World Tour in 2011.
In what is probably her most moving performance to date (at the Stand Up 2 Cancer event in September), Taylor remembers a little boy who lost his battle with cancer, singing, “I remember your bare feet down the hallway, I remember your little laugh, race cars on the kitchen floor, I love you to the moon and back.”
