Hugh Hefner passed away on Wednesday at the age of 91 surrounded by his family, and the founder of Playboy magazine founder made his final exit from the infamous Playboy Mansion at 6:25am on Thursday morning.
He was photographed in the back of a hearse leaving the place he called home for decades.
Police were lined at the side of Hugh’s driveway as two hearses left the premises.
Hugh’s son Cooper, Playboy Enterprises’ chief creative officer, released a statement following his death, and said, “My father lived an exceptional and impactful life as a media and cultural pioneer and a leading voice behind some of the most significant social and cultural movements of our time in advocating free speech, civil rights and sexual freedom.”

Dozens of celebrities reacted to Hugh’s death, including Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, and Pamela Anderson, among many others. “RIP to the legendary Hugh Hefner! I’m so honored to have been a part of the Playboy team! You will be greatly missed! Love you Hef! Xoxo,” Kim tweeted.
Hugh died from natural causes, but even in death, he will be living large, as he will be buried at the Westwood Memorial Park Cemetery in a plot beside Marilyn Monroe. She was the first centerfold for Playboy back in 1953, and he purchased the land for $75,000 back in 1992.
