Like clockwork! With every Duggar courtship and/or engagement announcement comes the infamous question: What’s up with Jana?
The oldest Duggar girl, who’s 27-years-old, has remained single, while her younger sisters have continued to find love. And with the ninth oldest Duggar girl, Joy-Anna, recently getting engaged, many are asking, “Why can’t Jana find a man?”
Well, the big reason may be that she’s the caretaker for her younger siblings and even some of their children!
As previously reported, Jana has turned into the family’s Cinderella, and has been forced to always be on-call to care for her supersized family, including during her recent birthday week!
While Jana admitted that it’s pretty weird she hasn’t found a proper suitor, she doesn’t blame her lack of courtship on her family.
“It’s like this weird in-between stage. I’m not a younger one, but I’m not an older, married one with kids,” she revealed during an episode of Counting On. “It can be tempting like, ‘Oh, I really want to be married,’ because, in those moments, your siblings that are married and have little ones are going on dates and doing their thing,”
“There have been different guys who have come along and asked, but they haven’t been, I don’t know, the right one,” Jana confessed, adding she had to be careful not to jump into a relationship too quickly.
