Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have kept their family whole amid their divorce for the sake of their kids, but a source revealed to OK! Magazine that while remaining united, Ben and Jen may be more than just amicable exes once again!
The couple was recently spotted at Santa Monica eatery Hinterland having a dinner date described by witnesses as “the epitome of romance from start to finish,” which is all part of Affleck’s scheme to win Garner back!
“He believes they’re soul mates,” a pal told OK! Magazine, despite their demise following a cheating scandal with the nanny, Christine Ouzounian, which Affleck denies.
“He realized he’d made a monumental mistake and needed to do everything he could to prove himself to Jen,” the source added.
In addition to an extravagant dinner of indulgent off-menu delicacies, including caviar, oysters, filet mignon and red wine, Ben broke down in a pre-planned “tearful apology” to Jen.
Affleck’s remorse “finally softened her heart” because “Jen misses Ben,” the insider said. “The way he’s acting has opened her eyes to the new and improved life they can have together.”
