Her three-year-old son, David, held his mommy's hand while the two killed some time between takes.

Jennifer will guest star as Veronica Moore a big, Broadway star who, according to NBC chairman, Bob Greenblatt, "reached her dream but paid a price for it."

This will be the Dream Girls actress' first foray back to the small screen since the devastating death of her mother, brother and nephew in a grizzly triple homicide in Chicago.

'It's just the perfect opportunity,' she said. "It's gonna be challenging, and I'm a little bit intimidated to play this big Broadway star. But it's gonna be a great experience. I can't wait to get started."
