It was a big day for the Duggar family on Friday! As Joy-Anna Duggar said her “I do’s” to Austin Forsyth, her brother Joseph Duggar was planning a wedding surprise of his own. In the midst of his sister’s big day, Joseph popped the question to Kendra Caldwell, just two months after they entered their courtship! “We are super excited,” the newly engaged couple told People magazine. “It’s great to not be courting anymore, now we’re engaged!” Click through to find out more about the couple’s whirlwind romance!
Joseph and Kendra first met through church and began their courtship in March. “We are so excited to share the news with others that we are courting,” Joseph told People at the time. “Our families are close friends through church and this has allowed Kendra and me to get to know each other. She’s the best!”
“I’m looking forward to getting to spend more time with Joseph as we take this exciting step toward a new season in life,” Kendra added. “It’s a really wonderful moment!”
Now that she’s engaged, Kendra is even more excited about what their future holds. “I’m so happy and so shocked. There’s so many words I want to say, but just shocked,” Kendra said.
While Joseph admitted he was nervous about popping the question, he said he wasn’t afraid Kendra would say no: “She has said, ‘I’m just waiting on you!'”
Meanwhile, Joseph’s sister tied the knot with her fiancé Austin on Friday, just three months after getting engaged and only six months after entering their courtship! “Leading up, it was so surreal until I was walking down the aisle and then I was like, ‘Oh my goodness, it’s actually here,’” Joy-Anna told People mag.
