Family drama is going to be taken to the next level because Kathy Hilton is joining the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast replacing Kim Richards, who was officially fired from the hit Bravo reality show. Bravo execs have wanted to switch up the sisters and this is the perfect opportunity.
Kim, 50, has been a season regular for nearly five years, with her storyline focusing on her bumpy relationship with her other sister, Kyle Richards, also a season regular.
RadarOnline.com reported that, “Execs initially wanted Kathy for the show years ago, but she passed. And she ended up recommending her sisters who were clamoring to do it."
The past few months have been extremely rough for Kim. She was arrested in April for public intoxication, battery, and resisting arrest at the Beverly Hills Hotel. This past season of the RHOBH her sobriety was called into question and in early May, she checked herself in rehab.

After Kim's arrest, she sat down with Dr. Phil for a candid, emotional interview about her addiction problems. She told him, "I'm a very strong person and I have been sober. I haven't been working a program ... living through a season on a show, sometimes it's hard to just get through it. The fans are really hard on me."
