On Monday, Katy Perry showed off her new shocking hairstyle on social media. She posted a picture in a hoodie with her new buzzed pixie cut.

She captioned the picture with, “fifth element flow.”

Before this recent change, Katy had a longer pixie hairstyle, but drastically cut most of it off for this new look.

When Katy got her first pixie hair cut in March, People.com previously reported Katy’s inspiration behind it. She told Elvis Duran "I’ve always wanted to look like Miley. I’ve always wanted to have that pixie haircut, so I said, ‘Let’s just go for it.”

A source even told RadarOnline.com, “Everyone is really shocked about this, They were so into each other for almost a year and they even thought that they would get married. They had talked about marriage. It is just really sad."
