Anna Karenina is a famous Russian tragedy by Leo Tolstoy, but there was absolutely nothing catastrophic about the new film adaption's stars, Keira Knightley and Jude Law, last night at the flick's London premiere.
Keira looked ethereal in a ruffled, peach-colored, floor-length dress, while Jude got in touch with his rugged masculinity in a perfectly tailored three-piece gray suit.
The actress plays the lead character, Anna, while Jude plays her husband, Karenin, in the 19th-century tale of infidelity in high society Russia. Anna isn't exactly a lovable character, which Keira says makes the part much less scary than her role as Elizabeth Bennet in Pride & Prejudice.
"People don't see themselves as Anna. They don't have this love for her. From that point of view, it's not as terrifying [as playing Elizabeth]," she told The Daily Mail.
