Kerry Washington and her sweetie Nnamdi Asomugha appeared to put the talk about their rumored marriage troubles behind them on Monday night as they attended the Met Gala in New York City.
The two, who have been the focus of growing divorce rumors, looked dashing for their date night at the star-studded event. And it made for their first high-profile appearance together in several weeks!
The couple is known to be guarded about their private life. So guarded to the point that Washington posted a Met Gala selfie with her fellow Hollywood friends Lee Daniels, Common and Taraji P. Henson on her Instagram, but didn’t post any images with her hubby! But sources have revealed that their low-key relationship may largely be the result of some major issues brewing between the two.
A source speaking with RadarOnline.com said that Washington's career has played a role in the tension between the pair! “The root of the problem is that Nnamdi feels threatened by Kerry’s success,” the insider said.

And a second source close to the pair said that the situation may have reached a serious breaking point.

"She’s already consulted a divorce attorney and they’re hashing out the details,” a source told In Touch. “She wanted to wait until there was a break in shooting so she could properly go over the paperwork.”
However, the actress and ex-footballer, who welcomed their daughter, Isabelle Amarachi, in April 2014, have yet to acknowledge the divorce chatter. And their appearance at the Met Gala and Met Gala after-party has many wondering what’s really going on in their extremely private relationship.
