Has the term "red-hot" ever been more appropriate?
A stunning Nicole Kidman, clad in a tight red L'Wren Scott dress, hit the red carpet Wednesday night for a tribute in her honor — the Nicole Kidman Gala Tribute at the 50th Annual New York Film Festival. Nicole acccessorized her to-die-for dress with a Fred Leighton diamond bracelet. Her husband, American Idol judge Keith Urban, was by her side all night, from the red carpet to their arrival back at their hotel later that evening. Nic was honored for her entire body of work.
"Nicole Kidman is one of film's finest contemporary actresses," said New York Film Festival director Richard Pena. "Since her breakthrough performance in To Die For… Kidman has insisted on finding roles that are complex, bold and demanding."
Nicole's upcoming movie, The Paperboy, premiered at the NYFF that same night. Zac Efron, Matthew McConaughey and John Cusack also star in the thriller, about a reporter (Matthew) who returns to his hometown to chase a potentially career-making story that could exonerate a man who was sent to death row (John). He is aided by his younger brother (Zac) and Charlotte (Nicole), who is sort of a prison-inmate groupie.
A lot of fuss has been made over a scene in which Nicole pees on Zac, but that is the result of Zac's character being stung by a jellyfish. Rest assured, though, the movie boasts some other pretty crazy scenes (including ones of a sexual nature). Mature audiences only, folks!
