2Gether walked the red carpet, um, together, at the 2000 VMAs, the same year that their MTV show spoofing boy bands was a major thing. We miss this.

Nick Lachey was one half of Newlyweds, which aired on MTV from 2003-2005, and he and his wife Jessica Simpson were divorced by the time the 2006 VMAS rolled around. But here he is, walking the red carpet like a champ anyway!

And that same night in 2006, Jessica Simpson walked the very same red carpet, but solo. You know, since she and Nick were divorced and if they walked it together that'd just be weird.

Paris Hilton has been to many a VMAS (she's a red carpet pro, clearly), but our favorite was when she was presented at the 2008 show. Her reality series, My New BFF, lasted from 2008-2009, which, truthfully, is longer than most of her relationships.

Carmen Electra walked the RC at the 2003 VMAS, which was right around the time that she started dating her soon-to-be husband, Dave Navarro. The couple got a 7-episode reality show in 2004 before they officially separated in 2006. Go figure.
