Olivia Newton-John Treating Stage 4 Cancer With Husband’s Homegrown Marijuana

Her innocent Grease character Sandy might have turned her nose up at this, but singer/actress Olivia Newton-John was more than happy to dip into the world of cannabis to treat her stage 4 cancer—and it helped!

After undergoing a partial mastectomy, chemotherapy, breast reconstruction, and radiation since her 1992 breast cancer diagnosis, the 68-year-old recently stated that it was her husband John Easterling’s homegrown medical marijuana that helped her through the pain.

“My husband's a plant medicine man so he grew cannabis for me and made tinctures for me to take for pain and inflammation and so many other things that cannabis can do,” Olivia recently revealed.

It was an easy decision for her, as she shared that she doesn’t like to take prescription medicine.

"It's a plant that has been maligned for so long and has so many abilities to heal. It's an important part of treatment and it should be available.”

Throughout these difficult times, Olivia has remained hopeful. 'I've had and I'm having an amazing life,' she said. 'So I have no complaints. We all have something we need to go through in life and this has been my challenge.'
