Tyga may have been locked behind bars in 2012 after having an active warrant out for his arrest, but he’s not the only one in his family who has had a run-in with the law. It turns out his mother, Passionaye Nguyen, has been arrested too! Does Kylie Jenner know?

But she clearly hadn’t learned her lesson, because while the case was still open, she was detained on charges of second-degree burglary, attempted grand theft (of an item worth more than $950), and unauthorized use of personal information (i.e., using someone else’s identity).

She was arrested in May 2004, but attorneys said the incident occurred on April 19, 2002. Tyga’s mom had been released on a $25,000 bail posted in May 2002.

Passionaye later pleaded guilty to all charges and was sentenced to three years probation, 180 days in jail (with credit for three days served), and $200 in fines.

And evidently, she didn’t want the world to know about her criminal past, as she requested that the arrest records be destroyed in 2012, around the time Tyga’s career took off, but the request was denied.
