Ask Emilie de Ravin and she'll probably agree that you can take Robert Pattinson out of Twilight, but you can't take Twilight out of Robert Pattinson! While filming upcoming movie Remember Me on the streets of NYC, they faced paparazzi and screaming fans. In March's Vogue, Rob and Emilie discuss their new film and how it's a welcome getaway from their well-known work in Twilight and Lost, respectively.

Filming Remember Me was quite a challenge for these young actors, but not so much because of the roles themselves.

"It was the most ridiculous experience," Rob tells Vogue. "You're trying to stay in character and you're trying to walk down the street, but all those people keep reminding you that you're not this character, you're — "

"A show pony," Emilie jumps in, causing the two to crack up.

Rob's character in the film allows him to play a much more emotional role than the one he plays in Twilight. And bonus: Vogue adds that he's surprisingly funny as well!

Rob plays Tyler Hawkins, an alienated man from a wealthy family, who gets involved with Ally (Emilie), the daughter of a police officer who had arrested Tyler after a street fight. But Rob jokes,"It's not too Rebel Without a Cause."

Both stars are hoping to prove themselves as actors outside their famous roles. Rob says he still feels a sense of loyalty to his Twilight fans, but dealing with the fame is something he's still trying to get used to.

"Everybody knows where everybody is," he explains. "The Twitter thing is unbelievable. I went out a couple of times with Pierce Brosnan. He's totally recognizable, and he makes no effort to tone it down. Some people were glancing over at us in the restaurant, and he just went over and introduced himself. And it does work. It dissipates all the attention."
