Justin Timberlake, Andrew Garfield, and Jesse Eisenberg show that while you don’t get to 500 million friends without making a few enemies, you can get to $23 million opening box office and make a few friends. The actors seemed happy to be in Berlin together promoting their new film The Social Network at the Hotel Adlon on Tuesday.
The film is already generating Oscar buzz in multiple categories and while it may be hard to think of a JT movie as a Best Film contender (not even Morgan Freeman or Kevin Spacey could save the disaster that was Edison Force), the music icon held his own next to Jesse’s own powerhouse performance of Mark Zuckerberg.
In fact, Justin, Jesse, and Andrew have all been the center of Oscar-nom rumors since the film began screenings a few weeks ago.
Mo’Nique and Sandra Bullock proved at last year’s awards that sometimes it’s those who aren’t known for their dramatic acting skills that can upset even the most seasoned actors. If the former host of Charm School and the Razzie winner for All About Steve can each take home an Oscar, why not the guy who brought us “SexyBack” and wore a matching denim suit with Britney Spears? Or the future Peter Parker? Or everyone’s favorite zombie fighter?
It’s going to be an interesting awards season this year, that’s for sure.
