Less than a week after being taken to the hospital after fainting not-so-mysteriously at her London home, singer Amy Winehouse is back at work, rehearsing for some upcoming concerts. And, in spite of being diagnosed with scarring of the lungs that could lead to the incurable lung disease emphysema, the troubled Grammy winner was also back to her old vice of cigarette smoking.

Amy is in rehearsals to perform at a concert on Friday marking South African leader Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday, and then again at the huge Glastonbury festival in rural England.

According to a rep for Amy, it is likely she will make the scheduled shows, but all is contingent on a "final sign-off" from her doctors.

Over the weekend, Amy's father, Mitch Winehouse, set off alarm bells when he told a British newspaper that his daughter had been diagnosed with emphysema. However, he later clarified those remarks in a radio chat with the BBC, where he claimed that the singer was "responding brilliantly to treatment."
