NEWSBethenny Frankel is a “Maybe” on Baby #2

Although Bethenny Frankel welcomed her first child five months ago, hubby Jason Hoppy is already making way for baby #2.
“Jason wants to have another baby, and I’m not sure, so the breast pump and the newborn clothes are in purgatory for who knows what will happen next,” she says during the Bright Starts launch held at NYC’s 24th Street Loft, adding that labeled Ziploc bags are her secret to storage.
She tells me, “I’m almost 40, and it’s a decision that we’re talking about. It’s a conversation that needs to be had. I have a five-month-old baby, so I haven’t made that decision yet.”
Luckily, Bethenny picked a good man to be the father of her child.
“Jason does everything,” she says. “He changes diapers, he watches her. We both do everything. I was told before I got into a relationship that if you want to have a child, you need a good partner. You could do it alone – I was prepared to do it alone – but it does help. There’s a lot to do, and you want someone who cares as much as you do about your child, so that’s the deal.”
She adds, “I’m proud that I’m giving her a happy house. Having her has made me realize how unhappy other babies must be. My baby cries, like every baby, and there are other babies who are probably crying because they have a reason.”
What’s Bryn’s latest milestone?
“She rolled over last week,” she says. “Jason was like “I think she just rolled over.’ It was 3 o’clock in the morning, and I ran in and he ran in and dog Cookie runs it. It’s like ‘everybody’s here – this is the proudest moment.’ We all do everything. Cookie’s not changing diapers or going to feed her in the middle of the night, but this afternoon we all did yoga.”
Cookie is certainly Bryn’s loyal pal.
“When I do yoga, I take the baby and put her in a little basket for 20 minute intervals, and Cookie, my dog, is on the mat and everybody’s doing yoga together.”
She continues, “The dog is very protective of the baby. They lay on the mat together. It’s other people that Cookie’s even more crazy with because she’s so protective of the baby. It evolved since the beginning, and it’s great, but it was all pretty good. She’s a good dog.”
In fact, the dog is Bryn’s favorite plaything.
“She’s not really into toys – just teething rings, and Cookie - Cookie’s fur.”
