Everyone in the audience was expecting Charlie Sheen to say something sarcastic about Ashton Kutcher replacing him on Two and a Half Men at the Emmys last night, but instead the actor was nothing but sincere in wishing him well!
Charlie took the stage last night at the 2011 Emmy Awards to present the lead actor award, but before doing so he made a statement about his former role on Two and a Half Men.
“From the bottom of my heart, I wish nothing but the best for this upcoming season,” he said (via MTV News). “We spent eight wonderful years together, and I know you will continue to make great television.”
And backstage, Charlie continued the love-fest by posing with his replacement, Ashton.
“Giving the new kid a little advice!” Charlie Tweeted with a photo of himself talking to Ashton. He then added, “[G]reat talking to you! We’ll all be watching! Make us proud!”
Were you surprised by Charlie’s kindness?
